The Wall is a 2017 war thriller film directed by Doug Liman and written by Dwain Worrell. The movie stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Staff Sergeant Shane Matthews, a sniper who is sent on a mission with his spotter, Staff Sergeant Allan Isaac, played by John Cena. The two are positioned in the desert waiting for a terrorist attack when they are shot at by an unidentified Iraqi sniper.

The remainder of the film follows the intense and deadly cat-and-mouse game played between the two snipers. The Iraqi sniper, referred to as "Juba," taunts and psychologically torments Matthews over the radio, leading to a tense standoff between the two enemies. Matthews becomes seriously injured when he is shot while trying to retrieve water from an abandoned pipeline. Isaac tries to rescue his partner, but he too is shot, leaving him immobilized and at the mercy of the Iraqi sniper.

As Matthews' condition worsens, he is forced to rely on his training and instincts to outsmart the enemy sniper. Eventually, Matthews is able to turn the tables on Juba and take him down. The film concludes with Isaac being rescued, but Matthews succumbing to his injuries. The Wall is a suspenseful and tense film that highlights the unpredictability and brutality of war.
