"The Walk" follows the story of Officer Michael Sullivan, a Boston Irish cop who is assigned to protect black high school students as they are bused into all-white South Boston High during the height of racial tensions in the 1970s. As Sullivan navigates his new assignment, he faces fierce social pressure from his fellow officers, his family, and the community at large.
Despite the challenges and threats he faces, Sullivan remains committed to ensuring the safety of the black students and upholding the law. Along the way, he forms a bond with one of the students, a young black girl named Sarah, who is particularly vulnerable to the racist attacks and harassment.
As the tensions escalate and violence erupts, Sullivan must confront his own prejudices and make a difficult decision about where his loyalty truly lies.
