The Valentine Competition is a romantic comedy that follows the story of Jack and Catherine, two individuals who find themselves stuck in a tricky situation when 600 pallets of flowers are accidentally ordered for the town of Valentine, Oregon. Jack, a local handyman, and Catherine, the owner of a struggling flower shop, team up to create a contest that will help them get rid of the excess flowers while also generating some business for Catherine's shop.
The contest invites residents of Valentine to design the best Valentine's Day Garden ever, with the winner receiving a back yard makeover. As the townspeople get creative with their garden designs, Jack and Catherine begin to work closely together, slowly discovering their feelings for each other. However, with Valentine's Day fast approaching, they realize that their blossoming relationship is at risk of being overshadowed by the impending contest results.
As the big day arrives, tensions rise as the judges struggle to pick a winner, leaving Jack and Catherine unsure of what the future holds for their relationship and their businesses. In the end, though, love and creativity prevail, and the residents of Valentine come together to celebrate a Valentine's Day unlike any other.
