The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll is a 1960 British horror film directed by Terence Fisher. The film is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
Dr. Henry Jekyll (played by Paul Massie) is a brilliant scientist who has been working on a potion that will allow him to separate the good and evil parts of his personality. After many failed attempts, he finally succeeds and transforms into his alter ego, Edward Hyde.
Hyde is a sadistic, ruthless and violent persona who enjoys killing and causing chaos. He begins to take over Jekyll's life and interferes in his relationships with his fiancée and his friends.
As the film progresses, Jekyll struggles to control Hyde and keep him hidden from the world. However, events soon spiral out of control as Hyde becomes increasingly violent and uncontrollable.
The film's climax involves a confrontation between Jekyll and Hyde in which Jekyll is killed and Hyde is left to roam free. The final scene shows a group of people discussing the mysterious disappearance of Jekyll and the emergence of Hyde.
