The Twins Effect (also known as Vampire Effect) is a 2003 Hong Kong action-comedy film directed by Dante Lam and Donnie Yen. The movie stars Charlene Choi and Gillian Chung, better known as the Cantopop group Twins, as the two vampire siblings.

The movie begins with a prologue that explains the history of how vampires arrived in Europe and how they have lived for centuries. The main story picks up with an evil Duke who wants to become invincible. He believes he can achieve immortality by drinking the blood of a royal family of European vampires. Unfortunately, he kills almost all of them except for a young girl named Rei (Charlene Choi), who manages to escape.

Rei survives by fleeing to Hong Kong, where she tries to start a new life as a normal human. However, things get complicated when she falls in love with a mortal boy named Kazaf (Edison Chen), who just happens to have a vampire hunter for an older brother named Reeve (Ekin Cheng).

As the Duke and his army of vampire hunters track down Rei, she must fight for her life and for the survival of her people. With the help of Kazaf, Reeve, and a few other friends, Rei sets out to stop the Duke and his evil plans.

The Twins Effect is a fun and action-packed movie that combines the genres of horror, comedy, and romance. It was one of the first Hong Kong films to feature using wire-fu techniques and visual effects for a modern audience. The movie also features cameos from Jackie Chan, Josie Ho, and Mickey Hardt.
