As the 30-something urbanite, Jon, returns to his rural hometown, he is apprehensive about seeing his high school buddies who he hasn't spoken to in years. However, he quickly gets reacquainted with them over a few beers and a shared passion for football.
The group reminisces about The Turkey Bowl, a legendary football game that was snowed out 15 years earlier. They decide to resurrect the game and challenge their cross-town rivals, who are led by Jon's childhood nemesis.
However, Jon's friends haven't played football in years, and he begins to have doubts about his decision to participate. As the game approaches, tensions run high, and the group must overcome personal issues and physical limitations to succeed in the game.
Through the game and their shared experience, the friends learn about the importance of growing up, moving on, and rekindling old friendships. The Turkey Bowl turns into more than just a game; it becomes a chance for the group to relive their past and reconnect with each other.
