In the film, Toxie (played by Ron Fazio) is struggling with his newfound peace as the city's hero. He misses the excitement of fighting crime and villainy, and feels out of place in his new role as a normal citizen. One day, he sees an advertisement from Apocalypse Inc., a major corporation that promises to make the world a better place through their various products and services.
With nothing to lose, Toxie applies to the company and is quickly hired by its CEO, a slick businessman named Peter Belgoody (played by John Altamura). As Toxie gets deeper into the company, he begins to notice that something is amiss. The products and services that Apocalypse Inc. offers seem to have a dark side, causing harm and destruction to society instead of offering any real solutions.
Toxie becomes conflicted when he discovers that Apocalypse Inc. is planning to build a toxic chemical waste dump in his beloved hometown of Tromaville, which would be incredibly dangerous for its citizens. He must decide whether to stay true to his new job and continue working for the corporation, or go back to his superhero roots and fight against the evil that he has found within the company.
Throughout the film, Toxie's relationships with his girlfriend Claire (played by Phoebe Legere) and his sidekick Lardass (played by Dan Snow) are tested, as they struggle to understand Toxie's decision to work for such a corrupt corporation.
