The Town Christmas Forgot follows the story of a dysfunctional family headed by single mother, Deni. The family includes her teenage daughters, Paris and Joe, her son, Art, and her mother, whom the kids call Grandma. The family sets out on a road trip to visit Deni’s sister for Christmas but gets stranded in a small lumber town called Snewbridge due to a blizzard.
Upon arriving in Snewbridge, the family discovers that the town’s residents are struggling financially. The main employer, a logging company, has shut down, leaving many of the townspeople without jobs. The mayor, Mayor Herod, is also corrupt and selfish, which has caused many of the town’s problems.
As the family tries to find a way out of the town, they become involved in the town's homemade Christmas pageant. The pageant is a source of hope for the town as it helps the residents forget their problems and come together. However, the pageant is in danger of being canceled due to a lack of funds and participants.
The family decides to help out with the pageant, and in the process, they learn to appreciate each other and the value of helping others. They also learn about the town's struggles and come up with a plan to help the town get back on its feet.
