Henry DeTamble is born with a rare genetic disorder called Chrono-Displacement, which causes him to involuntarily time travel to significant moments in his life. Henry first meets Clare Abshire when he accidentally appears in her family's meadow when she was 6 years old.
As they grow up, Clare and Henry become aware of their profound love for one another, despite the complications of his time travel. Over time, Henry and Clare must navigate multiple challenges, including the discovery of their future daughter, Alba.
