The Time Capsule follows the story of a former political leader, Michael Sullivan, who retreats to his family's lakeside cabin to contemplate his recent election loss. However, his plans for solitude are interrupted when his childhood sweetheart, Casey, suddenly appears at his doorstep.
The catch is that Casey, who left Earth 20 years ago on a space mission, has somehow managed to defy the laws of aging and looks exactly as she did when Michael last saw her. Michael is bewildered by Casey's seemingly impossible transformation and struggles to understand how it could have happened.
As the two reconnect, their feelings for each other reignite and they spend the following days reliving the memories of their past. Michael finds himself grappling with his own regrets and missed opportunities while Casey tries to unravel the mystery of her timeless appearance.
As their reunion comes to an end, Michael is forced to confront the reality of his current situation and decide whether to pursue a new path or try to reclaim what he's lost. Amidst all of this uncertainty, Casey's presence raises questions about what it really means to move forward and leave the past behind.
