The Three Stooges in Orbit is a science fiction comedy film released in 1962, directed by Edward Bernds and starring Larry Fine, Moe Howard, and Joe DeRita as the three titular characters. The film is the third in a series of feature films starring the trio, following The Three Stooges Meet Hercules and The Three Stooges Go Around the World in a Daze.

The plot revolves around the Stooges, who are working as repairmen at a TV station, who become involved with a wacky inventor named Professor Danforth (played by Emil Sitka). Danforth has invented a powerful spaceship and a ray gun that can make people disappear, and he enlists the Stooges' help in testing his inventions by sending them on a trip to the moon.

However, while on their trip, the trio accidentally encounters a pair of evil Martian spies (played by Larry and Gene Roth), who are planning to steal the professor's invention and use it to conquer Earth. The Stooges must bumble their way through a series of misadventures in order to protect the professor's invention and save the planet from destruction.

As with many Three Stooges films, The Three Stooges in Orbit is full of slapstick humor, physical comedy, and silly sight gags. The film also features a number of special effects, including stop-motion animation of the spaceship and the Martian invaders. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the film has since become a cult classic and a favorite among fans of the Stooges' classic comedy style.
