The Thin Man is a 1934 mystery-comedy film based on the 1933 novel of the same name by Dashiell Hammett. The film stars William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles, a witty and charming husband-and-wife detective team. They are called upon to help find a missing inventor named Clyde Wynant, who has disappeared just before his daughter's wedding.
Along the way, the couple encounters a colorful assortment of suspects, including Wynant's ex-wife, his current wife, his lawyer, and several others with potential motives for his disappearance. As they follow leads and gather clues, Nick and Nora's investigations lead them to a string of murders.
