When Karim (played by Steve Reeves) impersonates Prince Osman in a bid to win the heart of Amina (played by Giorgia Moll), the Sultan's daughter, he sets in motion a chain of events that ultimately leads to danger and adventure.
After winning Amina's heart, Karim finds himself getting drawn deeper and deeper into the murky world of palace intrigue, as he contends with the scheming Machiavellian vizier Jaffar (played by Akim Tamiroff), who has his own designs on the throne.
Karim soon discovers that Amina has fallen gravely ill, and that Jaffar is behind it all, as his plan to win the throne becomes ever more desperate. In order to save his love, Karim must undertake a perilous quest to retrieve the mystical blue rose of forgetfulness from the clutches of the sorceress, Zafira (played by Edy Vessel).
To succeed in his mission, Karim must find a way to navigate through the seven doors of the sorceress's mystical palace, each one guarded by a fearsome holy man or woman. Steeped in ancient lore and imbued with a sense of magic, The Thief of Bagdad is a timeless, enchanting tale that is sure to captivate audiences of all ages.
