As Chrissie's friends are tortured and killed by the Hewitt family, she manages to escape from their clutches and tries to make her way back to civilization. Along the way, she is pursued by Leatherface, who relentlessly hunts her down.

The movie is a brutal and intense horror film that explores the origins and motivations of Leatherface and the Hewitt family. It features graphic violence and gore, making it unsuitable for younger or more sensitive viewers.
