Dong-chul, played by actor Gong Yoo, is a former North Korean spy who is forced to flee the country after being betrayed by his government and witnessing his family being sold into slavery. He travels to China in search of his family, but when he finds their corpses, he becomes determined to seek revenge against his former colleague and defect to South Korea.
After a daring escape from North Korea, Dong-chul arrives in South Korea and begins his search for his enemy. He takes on various jobs during the day, including working as a temp driver, and at night he drives as a personal driver for Chairman PARK. One night, while on the job, Chairman PARK is assassinated, but not before handing over a mysterious pair of glasses to Dong-chul.
With Dong-chul accused of the chairman's murder, he is forced to go on the run once again. As he tries to uncover the secret contained within the glasses, he realizes the importance of the information and the potential threat it poses to the nation - depending on who ultimately gains control of it.
Throughout the movie, Dong-chul is pursued by both the North and South Korean intelligence services, and he must outsmart them to uncover the truth. Dong-chul's character is put to the test as he faces numerous obstacles and dangers, ultimately leading to a suspenseful and action-packed climax.
