The Strings is a horror movie that revolves around a talented musician, Catherine, who decides to isolate herself in a remote cottage in the woods during the wintertime to find inspiration for her next album. She arrives at the cottage and begins to work on her music, but strange occurrences begin to happen.
At first, Catherine dismisses the strange noises and occurrences as the sounds of nature and the isolation getting to her. However, as the days go by, she begins to realize that there may be something more sinister at play. She starts hearing strange whispers and footsteps that seem to follow her around the cottage and the nearby woods.
Catherine's unease quickly grows and she fears for her safety. She reaches out to the local authorities and to her friends who are unable to help due to the remote location and severe weather conditions.
As Catherine continues to work on her music, the presence she feels in the cottage becomes more and more aggressive, leading to her losing her mind and ultimately becoming possessed by the present dark entity.
