Jamie Vaughn is a single mother who owns a small bookstore in her hometown. She's struggling financially and fears that her bookstore, as well as other local businesses, will be forced to close due to a property developer's plans to expand and renovate the town. The developer is led by her former high school sweetheart, Sawyer O'Dell.
Jamie and Sawyer have a history, and their reunion stirs up old feelings. Sawyer is an architect, and he's in charge of the development project. He's moved on from his past relationship with Jamie, but he still cares for her and wants to help save her bookstore.
As Valentine's Day approaches, Jamie comes up with a plan to save her bookstore by organizing a community event and fundraiser. She also turns to Sawyer for help in convincing the developer to preserve the charm and character of the town.
Throughout the movie, Jamie and Sawyer work together to navigate their complicated past and present feelings while trying to save the town businesses. Along the way, they rediscover their connection and wonder if they should give their relationship another chance. In the end, their efforts pay off, and the town is saved from the development plans. Jamie's bookstore and other local businesses are able to thrive, and Jamie and Sawyer get back together, rekindling their love.
