In The Sting II, Hooker and Gondorf team up once again to pull off a new con. This time, they target mob boss Macalinski, who is known for his violent and ruthless ways. To help them with the con, they recruit a new grifter named Veronica, who is played by actress Teri Garr.

The trio decides to convince Macalinski that Hooker is a boxer who is tired of taking dives for Gondorf. They set up a fake boxing match to make it seem like Hooker is a skilled fighter, while Veronica plays the role of his loyal girlfriend. Macalinski is initially skeptical of their scheme, but he eventually falls for their story and agrees to bet on Hooker in a big boxing match.

Meanwhile, Lonigan, one of their previous victims from the first movie, resurfaces and tries to get revenge on Hooker and Gondorf. He convinces Macalinski to set a trap for the duo, hoping to finally get them caught by the authorities.

The film culminates in a tense finale at a carnival, where all the key players come together for a final showdown. Hooker and Gondorf must use all their cunning and wits to outsmart Lonigan and Macalinski and emerge victorious.

While The Sting II received mixed reviews from critics and was not as successful as the original film, it is still remembered as an entertaining caper that showcases the talents of its talented cast.
