In The Steam Experiment, a group of six strangers from different walks of life are lured into a steam room by a deranged scientist named Jimmy (played by Val Kilmer). Once inside, they realize that they are trapped and the temperature inside the room starts to rise dangerously.
As the group struggles to survive, they begin to unravel the twisted motivations of their captor. Jimmy demands that the local newspaper publish his story about global warming, or else he will continue to turn up the heat in the steam room.
As tensions rise amongst the captives, they must work together to try to escape before it's too late. Meanwhile, the outside world begins to take notice of the situation and a detective (played by Armand Assante) investigates the mysterious circumstances that led to the group's captivity.
The Steam Experiment is a tense thriller that explores themes of power, control, and the dangers of unchecked obsession with environmental issues.
