In the movie, SpongeBob and his best friend Patrick embark on a journey to the Lost City of Atlantic City to save their beloved pet snail, Gary, who has been kidnapped by Poseidon. Along the way, they encounter new friends such as Sage, the wise tumbleweed, and solve puzzles and overcome obstacles as they try to rescue Gary and bring him back home. Meanwhile, Plankton is also on the hunt for the snail to obtain his prized secret formula. The film features a mix of live-action and animated sequences and has a star-studded voice cast, including Keanu Reeves, Awkwafina, and Snoop Dogg.
