The rookie cop, Jonathan White (played by Channing Tatum), is now a married man with a young daughter. He has worked hard to leave his troubled past behind and build a good life for himself and his family. However, when his past comes back to haunt him, he is forced to confront the dark secrets that he has been hiding.
The two unsolved murders that are at the center of the story involve two young boys who were killed in the housing projects where Jonathan grew up. The letters that the Precinct Captain (played by Ray Liotta) receives suggest that Jonathan may have been involved in the crimes, and the Captain begins to dig deeper into the case.
As Jonathan tries to maintain his innocence and keep his family together, he is faced with increasingly difficult choices. He must decide whether to come clean about what he knows, or risk losing everything he has worked for. Along the way, he becomes involved with a journalist (played by Juliette Binoche) who is investigating the case, and forms a bond with her that may help him solve the mystery and clear his name.
The Son of No One is a tense and gripping drama that explores themes of loyalty, friendship, and the consequences of past actions. With strong performances from the cast and a compelling storyline, it keeps viewers on the edge of their seats from beginning to end.
