Comedy,Drama  France

The Snows of Kilimanjaro is a 1952 American film directed by Henry King and starring Gregory Peck and Susan Hayward. The movie is based on the short story of the same name by Ernest Hemingway.

The film follows the story of Harry Street (Gregory Peck), a writer who is dying of an infection in Africa. While waiting for a plane to take him to a hospital, he experiences vivid flashbacks of his past, including his love affair with Cynthia (Ava Gardner) and his experiences during the war.

During one of these flashbacks, Harry remembers the time he and his wife, Helen (Susan Hayward), were robbed at gunpoint in their home. The couple's domestic servant (played by Hildegarde Neff), who was also involved in the robbery, is eventually caught and brought to justice. However, the couple's sense of justice is not satisfied, and they feel guilty for not helping the servant when she was in need.

The Snows of Kilimanjaro is a tragic and powerful film about regret, guilt, and the search for redemption. With its stunning African landscapes, excellent performances, and poignant screenplay, it remains a classic of American cinema.
