The Snowman is a thriller movie based on Jo Nesbø's novel of the same name. The story follows Detective Harry Hole, a brilliant but troubled detective in Oslo, Norway. He investigates the disappearance of a woman named Sylvia Otterson, whose pink scarf is found wrapped around a snowman.
As Harry and his new partner, Katrine Bratt, dig deeper into the case, they discover a string of similar disappearances that occurred years before. The investigation takes a dark turn when a serial killer, who calls himself "The Snowman Killer," emerges. The killer taunts Harry and the police with cryptic clues, leading them to race against time to stop him before he strikes again.
Harry's personal life also becomes entangled in the case as he navigates his troubled relationship with his ex-girlfriend and her son. All the while, the killer remains one step ahead of the police, and the tension builds to a shocking climax in the snowy streets of Oslo.
The Snowman features an all-star cast, including Michael Fassbender as Harry Hole, Rebecca Ferguson as Katrine Bratt, and J.K. Simmons as a wealthy businessman with ties to the case. The movie is directed by Tomas Alfredson and features a haunting score by Marco Beltrami.
