Aisha Chaudhary was born in 1996 in New Delhi, India, to proud parents Niren and Aditi Chaudhary. At the age of six months, Aisha was diagnosed with Severe Combined Immune Deficiency (SCID), a rare genetic disorder that left her unable to fight off infections. She underwent a bone marrow transplant and thankfully, the procedure was successful. Aisha’s childhood was monitored with great care by her parents, who made sure she stayed healthy and followed all the necessary precautions.
However, at the age of 13, Aisha was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis, a condition where scars develop in the lungs, making it difficult to breathe. In spite of this devastating news, Aisha remained optimistic and focused on living life to the fullest. She soon discovered her passion for public speaking and became an inspirational speaker, sharing her experiences and spreading awareness about pulmonary fibrosis and organ donation.
Throughout Aisha’s battle with her health, her parents Niren and Aditi stood by her side, providing her with love, support, and the best medical care possible. They would often travel abroad for consultations with doctors and treatments, and constantly juggled their work schedules to make sure they could be there for Aisha whenever she needed them.
The Sky Is Pink is a heart-touching film that beautifully captures the emotional journey of the Chaudhary family.
