The Sixth Sense is a 1999 American supernatural psychological thriller film written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. It stars Bruce Willis as Malcolm Crowe, a child psychologist who is visited by Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment), a troubled 8-year-old boy who claims to be able to see and communicate with the dead. Crowe initially dismisses Cole's claims as a product of his imagination or a symptom of a mental disorder, but soon realizes that Cole's abilities are real.

Over the course of the film, Cole confides in Crowe about the ghosts that he sees and the messages they want to convey to their loved ones. Crowe becomes increasingly invested in helping Cole overcome his fears and channel his abilities into something positive. Along the way, he also begins to confront his own personal demons and the strained relationship with his wife (played by Olivia Williams).

As the plot unravels, the audience discovers that Crowe himself is actually a ghost, and that he has been dead the entire time. The revelation adds a new layer of depth to the story and explains some of the strange occurrences that Cole and Crowe have been experiencing throughout the film. The movie's twist ending has become one of the most iconic in cinematic history and remains a major talking point for fans of the genre.
