The Shootout

The Shootout, also known as "Fatal Encounter" in some countries, was directed by Michael Mak and released in 1992. The film features a star-studded cast of Hong Kong cinema veterans, including Aaron Kwok, Sean Lau Ching Wan, Leung Ka Yan, Elvis Tsui and Fennie Yuen.

The story follows Fai, a rookie cop who unintentionally arrests a member of a notorious criminal gang. In response, the authorities bring in two veteran detectives, Lau and Ma, to assist in taking down the gang.

As the investigation unfolds, Fai develops a romantic interest in Min, a nightclub singer who is also Tsui's girlfriend. The situation becomes complicated when Fai realizes that Min may have inside information about the gang's activities, and he must decide whether to use her to his advantage or risk his feelings for her. Meanwhile, Lau and Ma utilize their years of experience to track down the gang and stop their criminal plans once and for all.
