The Shadow In My Eye is a Danish drama film that tells the story of two brothers, Erik and Knud, who experience the trauma of the Copenhagen bombing firsthand. The film is set in the aftermath of World War II and follows the brothers as they struggle to cope with the loss of their family and friends.

Erik, played by Jens Albinus, is a schoolteacher who witnesses the bombing and is devastated by the loss of his students. He becomes obsessed with finding out why the bombers targeted the school and seeks answers from the British authorities. Knud, played by Elliott Crosset Hove, is a young man who joins the resistance movement in Denmark and becomes involved in a plot to sabotage a German munitions factory.

As the two brothers navigate their personal struggles and the political turmoil of post-war Denmark, they begin to uncover the truth behind the bombing and the actions of the British RAF. The film explores themes of grief, guilt, and justice, and highlights the devastating consequences of war on innocent civilians.

The Shadow In My Eye was directed by Ole Bornedal and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2021. It received critical acclaim for its powerful storytelling and outstanding performances, particularly from Albinus and Hove.
