The Seventh Curse is a 1986 Hong Kong action-horror film directed by Ngai Choi Lam, starring Chow Yun-fat and Maggie Cheung. The film follows Kai, a heroic cop who travels to Thailand to rescue a girl named Betsy from the Worm Tribe, a cult that sacrifices young girls to their god. During the rescue, Kai is cursed with seven "Blood Curses" that will kill him when the seventh curse explodes. Betsy gives Kai an antidote that will temporarily stop the curses, prompting him to return to Thailand to find a permanent cure.
With the help of Wisely, a wise-cracking businessman who knows about the Worm Tribe, Kai infiltrates the cult and discovers their evil plans. The Worm Tribe, led by the evil sorcerer Doc, seeks to resurrect an ancient demon named Juragai that will grant them unlimited power and wealth. To do so, they must sacrifice seven young girls, including Betsy.
Kai and his companions, including Wisely and a local guide named Kru, battle the Worm Tribe and encounter several terrifying creatures, including a baby-like monster that feeds on blood and an ancient skeleton that transforms into a giant monster with blue eyes.
As the group approaches the final showdown with the Worm Tribe, Kai must find a way to break the Blood Curses before it's too late. The Seventh Curse is a thrilling, action-packed adventure that combines horror and fantasy elements with a classic Hong Kong kung fu film style.
