The Sentinel is an action thriller movie directed by Clark Johnson. The movie stars Michael Douglas as Pete Garrison, a highly respected Secret Service agent who has been tasked with protecting the President of the United States, played by David Rasche.
However, when a trusted informant informs Garrison of a serious threat against the president's life, he takes it upon himself to investigate the matter even though he is not authorized to do so. During his investigation, Garrison discovers that there is a mole within the Secret Service who is involved in the assassination plot.
The investigation takes an unexpected turn when Garrison is falsely accused of being the mole due to circumstantial evidence. He goes on the run to clear his name and stop the assassination attempt before it's too late. Along the way, Garrison gets help and support from his former partner, Jill Marin (Kim Basinger), as well as a rookie Secret Service agent, played by Kiefer Sutherland.
As Garrison tries to find evidence to clear his name, he is relentlessly pursued by an FBI agent named David Breckinridge (Eva Longoria), who also believes that he is the mole and will stop at nothing to apprehend him.
The movie features intense action scenes, high-stakes suspense, and unexpected twists and turns that keep the audience on the edge of their seats until the very end.
