The Secret Invasion is a 1964 war film directed by Roger Corman and starring Burt Lancaster, Alastair Sim, and Claudia Cardinale. The plot centers around a group of Allied soldiers who are sent on a top-secret mission to sabotage a Nazi-controlled Italian fortress during World War II.

The catch is that the soldiers are actually convicts who have been offered the chance to have their sentences commuted if they agree to participate in the mission. The group is led by Captain Richard Malone (Lancaster), a former criminal himself who has turned his life around and is now a respected officer in the British Army.

The mission is fraught with danger from the start, as they must navigate their way through enemy territory and past numerous patrols to reach the fortress. Along the way, they encounter a number of obstacles, including fellow convicts who are not happy with the idea of working for the Allies.

Once they reach the fortress, the team must infiltrate it and plant explosives to destroy it from the inside. They encounter fierce resistance from the Nazi soldiers, and not everyone will make it out alive.

The Secret Invasion is a tense and action-packed film that explores the themes of redemption, sacrifice, and the human cost of war. It is a classic example of the war film genre and features an outstanding cast of actors.
