Upon arriving in England, Mary Lennox (played by Dixie Egerickx) is taken to her uncle's estate where she discovers a vast and mysterious property filled with secrets. She is cared for by Mrs. Medlock (Julie Walters), who warns her not to ask too many questions or wander off on her own. Mary soon meets her cousin Colin (Edan Hayhurst), who is confined to his bed due to a mysterious illness.
Mary becomes curious about the locked garden on the estate and eventually discovers the key to unlock it. She and Colin sneak away from the house and venture into the garden, where they discover a seemingly magical place with colorful flowers, fountains, and a friendly robin that becomes their guide.
