The Second Age of Aquarius follows the story of Alberta, a young woman who has always been fascinated by the music and poetry of Russell Aquarius, a legendary rock n roll poet who died under mysterious circumstances decades ago. One day, while visiting his grave, she discovers an ancient tome that contains a powerful magic spell. Desperately wishing to bring her idol back to life, Alberta performs the spell and to her astonishment, it works.
However, things quickly take a dark turn when Russell Aquarius, revived from the dead, is not exactly what Alberta imagined. He is disoriented and confused, believing that he is having the ultimate bad trip and that nothing around him is real. Alberta is determined to help him adjust to his new life, but soon finds herself drawn into his warped perception of reality, which involves drug-fueled visions and a dangerous descent into madness.
As Alberta tries to figure out a way to restore Russell's sanity and convince him that he's not stuck in some kind of psychedelic nightmare, she must also confront her own fears and desires, as she realizes that she might have been better off leaving her idol to rest in peace. The movie is a haunting and surreal exploration of the perils of obsession and the dangers of trying to revive the past.
