The Scoundrels is a 2018 crime-comedy film directed by Tzu-Hsuan Hung. The film stars J.C. Lin as Rui, a former basketball player who has fallen from grace and now works as a street-parking fee collector. Rui also does some odd jobs for a car theft gang to make ends meet.

One night, while Rui is on duty, a robber gets into the car he is guarding and forces him to drive. However, Rui spots a seriously injured woman in the vehicle and decides to take her to the hospital instead of following the robber's instructions.

The woman turns out to be the daughter of a prominent businessman, who was kidnapped and had the ransom money in the car. The police and the public now see Rui as the prime suspect in the bank robbery and the kidnapping.

Rui seeks help from his former teammates, who are now successful and wealthy. However, they don't want to be associated with him and refuse to help. Rui's only hope is the injured woman, who could clear his name. But she remains unconscious, and her father, who is desperate to find his daughter, has him followed by his henchmen.

The Scoundrels blends comedy, action, and suspense as Rui tries to clear his name and find out who the real culprits are. The film also explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and redemption. The Scoundrels received positive reviews for its engaging plot, witty dialogue, and strong performances from the cast.
