The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption is a 2012 American action-adventure film directed by Roel Reiné and written by Brendan Cowles and Shane Kuhn. It is the third installment in The Scorpion King franchise and a sequel to The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior. The film features former WWE wrestler and MMA fighter Dave Bautista in his first major acting role.
The plot follows Mathayus, a legendary warrior and former Scorpion King, who has lost his kingdom and his queen to a deadly plague. Now a feared assassin for hire, he is hired by the king of Norvania to travel to Egypt on a dangerous mission to stop an evil tyrant, Talus, and his ghost warriors from conquering the kingdom.
