The Scent is a South Korean crime-thriller film that was directed by Kim Hyung-jun and was released in 2012. The movie stars Park Hee-soon as Detective Seon-woo, Kwak Si-yang as Detective Gil-ro, and Park Si-yeon as Soo-Jin.
The movie begins with Detective Seon-woo as a talented and respected detective, but becomes a private investigator due to personal troubles. A mysterious woman, Soo-Jin, comes to him and hires him to take photos of her husband, who she suspects is cheating on her. During the investigation, Seon-woo discovers that the husband, named Kim Soo-hyun, is already dead. Seon-woo becomes a suspect in the murder and is chased by Detective Gil-ro.

As more evidence is uncovered, Seon-woo and Ji-won begin to piece together what happened on the night of Soo-hyun's death and the motive behind the murder. In a gripping finale, the real killer is revealed and Seon-woo proves his innocence.
