In The Santa Clause 2, Scott Calvin (played by Tim Allen) has been Santa Claus for eight years and believes he has everything under control at the North Pole. However, head elf, Bernard, informs him that there is a "Mrs. Clause" in the Santa Clause contract stating that he must have a wife or he will no longer be Santa.
Scott must travel back to his hometown and enlist the help of his ex-wife, Laura (played by Wendy Crewson), to find a new wife before Christmas Eve. While there, he also discovers that his teenage son, Charlie (played by Eric Lloyd), has landed himself on the naughty list and is facing disciplinary action from the Council of Legendary Figures.
As Scott attempts to find a wife, he faces challenges with his own responsibilities as Santa and the pressures of being an eligible bachelor in a small town. Eventually, he realizes that he is in love with his loyal assistant, Carol Newman (played by Elizabeth Mitchell), who has been helping him with his Santa duties.
In the end, Scott is able to find a wife and confirms his status as Santa Claus, while also bringing his family closer together. The Santa Clause 2 is a heartwarming Christmas film that emphasizes the importance of family and love.
