The Sandlot follows the story of Scotty Smalls, a shy and awkward tween boy who moves with his family to a new town. Scotty struggles to fit in and make new friends, but his luck changes when he meets Benny Rodriguez, the star and captain of the local sandlot baseball team.
Benny takes Scotty under his wing and introduces him to the other boys on the team, a rowdy and fun-loving crew who spend their hot summer days playing baseball on the neighborhood sandlot. The boys teach Scotty how to play, and it's not long before he finds himself caught up in their wild adventures.
