The Rundown is a 2003 action-adventure film directed by Peter Berg and starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Seann William Scott, and Rosario Dawson. The story follows Beck (Johnson), a skilled retrieval expert who is hired by a wealthy businessman to bring back his son, Travis (Scott), who has gone missing in the Amazon rainforest while searching for a valuable artifact known as "El Gato Diablo."
Upon arriving in the small mining town where Travis was last seen, Beck quickly finds himself in the middle of a conflict between the tyrannical mine owner, Hatcher (Christopher Walken), and the local rebels who are being oppressed by him. Beck also meets Mariana (Dawson), a beautiful and mysterious bartender who is connected to the artifact that Travis is seeking.
As Beck and Travis set out into the jungle to find the artifact, they encounter various obstacles and dangers, including deadly snakes, treacherous cliffs, and a group of indigenous rebels who are also searching for El Gato Diablo. Along the way, Beck and Travis develop a begrudging respect for each other, despite their initial dislike.
As they get closer to finding the artifact, Beck and Travis find themselves confronted by Hatcher and his armed goons, who are determined to steal the treasure for themselves. In a thrilling climax, Beck and Travis team up to take down Hatcher and his men and secure the artifact.
With plenty of humor, action, and adventure, The Rundown is a thrilling ride from start to finish, and a must-see for fans of Dwayne Johnson and action movies in general.
