Michael Kovak is skeptical of the supernatural and is studying to become a priest more out of obligation than true faith. However, his beliefs are challenged when he meets Father Lucas Trevant, a veteran exorcist with unorthodox methods. Father Lucas takes Michael under his wing and exposes him to the reality of demonic possession.
