The Rise follows the story of a young man named Nathan, who has just been released from prison after serving a few years for a crime he didn't commit. He is determined to get back at the person who framed him and cost him his freedom, the local drug kingpin named Kagan. To do so, he recruits his three best friends, Terry, Malik, and Diaz, to help him rob Kagan's drug operation, which is worth millions of dollars.
Despite their reservations, Nathan's friends agree to help him, and they start planning the heist. They do their research, scout the location, and come up with a plan to sneak in and steal Kagan's stash. However, things get complicated when they realize that Kagan has beefed up his security and hired some ruthless mercenaries to protect his operation. The friends soon find themselves in over their heads, trying to stay one step ahead of the security and the police, all while trying to get their hands on the loot.
