The Ring Two is a 2005 American supernatural horror film directed by Hideo Nakata. It is the sequel to the 2002 film The Ring and is the second installment in The Ring franchise.
The movie starts where the first one left off, with journalist Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) and her son Aidan (David Dorfman) moving to a small coastal town to start over after the events of the first film. However, their new start is short-lived when Samara, who was the antagonist in the first movie, returns from the dead to haunt Aidan, ultimately trying to possess his body.
As Rachel tries to unravel the mystery of Samara's return and save her son from possession, she discovers that Samara's influence extends beyond the town they live in and into the digital world of videotapes and the internet. Rachel must confront her fear and unravel a twisted web of deceit before Samara claims her ultimate prize - Aidan's soul.
The movie also features new characters, including a veterinarian named Dr. Emma Temple (Elizabeth Perkins) who helps Rachel and Aidan and a mysterious religious figure known as "The Priest" (Simon Baker).
The Ring Two received mixed reviews from critics but was a box office success. It grossed over $161 million worldwide.
