The Rhythm Section is a 2020 action-thriller movie directed by Reed Morano. It stars Blake Lively in the lead role of Stephanie Patrick, a woman whose life has been shattered following the tragic death of her family in an airplane crash. After a downward spiral of drugs, sex, and self-destructive behavior, she learns that the crash was not an accident, it was in fact a terrorist attack.
With nothing left to lose, Stephanie sets out on a mission of vengeance to track down those responsible. She decides to take on the identity of an assassin, seeking the help of a former MI6 agent named B (Jude Law). B trains her in the art of killing and teaches her how to blend in and gather intelligence, knowing that her targets will be watching her every move.
Stephanie's search takes her across Europe, where she manages to get close to her targets, but just as she is about to complete her mission, she discovers a shocking truth that changes everything. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Mark Burnell.
It is a gritty, intense movie with plenty of action, suspense, and emotional moments. Blake Lively delivers a powerful performance, transforming herself from a broken woman to a lethal assassin, and the chemistry between her and Jude Law is strong.
