In The Revenge of the Shiny Shrimps, Matthias, the coach of the Shiny Shrimps, a gay water polo team, decides to take Selime, a young man he believes is gay, to Japan to pay tribute to their teammate Jean, who passed away two years prior. However, after they miss their connection in Moscow, they find themselves stranded in a small town in Russia.
To make matters worse, the town is not the most welcoming to LGBTQ+ people, and the team finds themselves in danger from the homophobic locals. They must stick together and navigate the situation, using their quick wit and athletic prowess to avoid danger and get out of the town.
