In The Revenant, Hugh Glass is part of a hunting party in the uncharted American wilderness. When he is viciously attacked by a grizzly bear, his fellow hunters leave him behind, assuming he will not survive his injuries. However, Glass survives and vows to seek revenge against those who betrayed him.
Despite his injuries, Glass drags himself through the wilderness, facing the elements and hostile Native American tribes. Along the way, he forms an unlikely alliance with a young Native American boy who helps him survive. As Glass gets closer to his targets, tensions rise and violence ensues.
