The Reef is a 2010 Australian horror-thriller film directed by Andrew Traucki. The film tells the story of five friends who set sail from Indonesia to Australia, but unfortunately their yacht capsizes due to unforeseen circumstances. The friends try to swim to the nearest land before the boat sinks, but they are stranded in the middle of the ocean.

As night falls, the group realizes that they are not alone in the water. They are being hunted by a great white shark that is circling around them. The friends try to stay afloat while coming up with a plan to escape the deadly predator. However, tensions rise between the group as they start to question each other's motives and decisions.

One by one, the friends fall prey to the shark, until only two are left, Matt and his girlfriend, Suzie. They try to swim to safety, but the shark relentlessly chases them. As they near the shore, the shark attacks once again and Suzie sacrifices herself to save Matt. In the end, Matt is the only survivor and makes it to the shore, traumatized by the horrific experience.

The film is based on a true story and relies heavily on suspense and tension to keep the audience engaged. The underwater shots and eerie music add to the overall scary atmosphere of the film. The Reef is a gripping survival story that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
