Molly reluctantly agrees to Brenda's plan and returns to her former college, which holds bittersweet memories for her. While trying to navigate the campus as a mature student, she meets Elliot and struggles to connect with him in the beginning.
Elliot is shy and socially awkward, always trying to avoid social situations and conversations with his classmates. Molly realizes that she needs to approach Elliot in a different way and decides to use her experiences and knowledge to help him break out of his shell.
As Molly helps Elliot improve his social skills and navigate his way through college life, they start to develop a close friendship.
