The Ranger is a horror-thriller film directed by Jenn Wexler in 2018. It follows a group of young punks, Chelsea, Garth, Amber, Abe, and Jerk, who flee the scene of a crime and retreat to an abandoned cabin in the woods. While hiding out, they come across a park ranger named "The Ranger," who warns them to leave the area because of danger from a toxic plant.
However, when they refuse to leave, The Ranger uses violent and sadistic methods to punish them. The group soon realizes that The Ranger's past is connected to theirs, and he will stop at nothing to get his revenge on them.
The film stars Chloe Levine, Jeremy Holm, Amanda Grace Benitez, and Granit Lahu. It features elements of punk culture, as well as classic horror tropes. The soundtrack includes songs from punk bands like The Rats and Leather Daddy. The Ranger received positive reviews for its unique blend of genres and its strong performances.
