The Rage: Carrie 2 is a 1999 horror film and a sequel to the 1976 classic horror movie Carrie. The movie follows the story of Rachel Lang, a high school student who is struggling to cope with the suicide of her only friend, Jessie. Rachel is an outcast because she is different from her classmates and has an extraordinary ability to move objects with her mind.
Sue Snell (played by Amy Irving, who was also in the original Carrie film) works at the local counseling center and takes Rachel under her wing, trying to help her come to terms with her powers. Rachel is initially reluctant to trust Sue, but as they spend more time together, she begins to open up and share her secrets.
Meanwhile, Rachel's classmates and the popular jock, Jesse Ryan, are planning an elaborate prank that involves seducing Rachel and then publicly humiliating her. When the prank goes awry and Rachel realizes she has been set up, she unleashes her powers and wreaks havoc upon the high school and its students.
The movie is a gruesome and suspenseful tale of revenge and the price of bullying. It also explores themes of teenage angst, loneliness, and the danger of ostracizing those who are different. Though the movie received mixed reviews, it has become a cult classic among horror enthusiasts.
