The Players

Comedy  Italy

The Players, also known as Les Infidèles, is a French comedy film released in 2012. It consists of several short stories that are interconnected, exploring the themes of infidelity, love, and relationships. Each story features a different male character who struggles with fidelity and the consequences that come with their actions.

In one story, a man pretends to be gay to cheat on his wife, only to realize that he has developed real feelings for his male partner. In another, a man's affair with a younger woman is threatened when she becomes too clingy and emotional.

The film also includes a story about a man who uses a lifelike sex doll to fulfill his fantasies, as well as a tale about a wealthy businessman who hires a prostitute to accompany him to a business conference.

Throughout the film, the male characters are often portrayed as comically inept when it comes to relationships and fidelity. The film contains plenty of comedic moments, as well as some more poignant scenes that explore the emotional impact of cheating.

The Players was directed by Jean Dujardin and Gilles Lellouche, who also star in the film alongside a talented ensemble cast. The film was well-received in France and other countries and is considered a modern classic of French comedy cinema.
