The Pigeon is a 2018 Turkish drama film directed by Banu Sıvacı. The film follows the story of Yusuf, a young boy who lives with his siblings in a suburb of Adana. Yusuf is very passionate about raising and feeding the pigeons on the roof of their house, which were bequeathed to him by his father. His favorite pigeon, Maverdi, is very special to him and he spends most of his time taking care of her.

However, his older brother forces him to work and earn money for their family. Yusuf, who has never been exposed to the outside world, is suddenly thrown into the harsh reality of his neighborhood. He takes up odd jobs, including working at a construction site and selling vegetables, but his heart remains with his pigeons.

As Yusuf struggles to balance his work and passion, he also learns about the larger issues in his neighborhood. He witnesses poverty, crime, and violence, and he begins to question the morality of the world. Through his experiences, Yusuf learns to become more independent and mature, and discovers his own identity.
